Gemini 1.5: After launching Gemini Advanced for users, Google has now announced its next generation AI model Gemini 1.5. The company says that the new and latest version of Gemini is much ahead in terms of performance. According to the company, Gemini 1.5 version is capable of handling many tasks like long coding sessions, text summary, images etc. The Gemini 1.5 is a mid-sized multimodal model that sits between the Gemini 1.0 Pro and the Gemini 1.0 Ultra.

What is Gemini 1.5 model?

Google’s Gemini 1.5 introduces a new ‘mixture-of-experts’ architecture, which makes AI models more capable. To understand it in simple words, Google has designed and trained it to do very difficult tasks easily, long hours of coding, many difficult tasks like image processing etc.

Google says the Gemini 1.5 Pro can handle up to 1 million tokens. Because of this, this new model can remember more things in its memory than its older version. According to the company, Gemini 1.5 Pro is almost as good as Gemini 1.0 Ultra.

One of the major updates of this new model is the refined safety rules. Google has said that it is also constantly paying attention to the risks associated with powerful AI models, and therefore has introduced new filters to prevent potential harm.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced Gemini 1.5 through his official X account. While giving information about all these features mentioned above in his post, he wrote that, in December we launched Gemini 1.0 Pro, and today we are launching Gemini 1.5 Pro.

When will common users be able to use Gemini 1.5?

Gemini 1.5 Pro is currently made available to enterprise users of Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. The company has not yet given information about when Gemini 1.5 Pro will be publicly rolled out.

Currently, regular users of Google AI can use the free trial of Gemini Advanced Chatbot, which can easily perform tasks like coding, image creating and can even replace Google Assistant on Android smartphones.

Let us tell you that Google has started rolling out Gemini app in India also. Earlier this app was available only in America. Google is also updating the Google app in iOS devices, due to which users using iPhone and iPads can also use Gemini Chatbot service.
